Hammer Repairs
Over the course of time clock hammers can become worn or corroded, or even damaged by accident during bell-ringing. We can undertake hammer repair and refurbishment to return the clock hammers back to good condition.
Clock Protection
When buildings are undergoing major repairs it is quite often necessary to stop the clock mechanism and cover it to protect it from damaging dust and debris. Similarly, it may be necessary to protect dials as well usually with a wooden cover. We are often requested to install this type of protection and subsequently its removal followed by a service to return the clock mechanism to normal working order.

Gilding
Our clockmakers have many years’ experience gilding clock dials and quite often we are tasked to turn our gilding skills to something a little more unusual, This can vary from a cockerel on the top of a weathervane, a very ornate and iconic weathervane in its own right or in the case of Blenheim Palace, a large and intricate coronet above one of its clock dials.
